TYPE LOCALITY: Unknown; possibly Minas Gerais, Brazil .

DISTRIBUTION: Brazil.

SYNONYMS: bilobidens.

COMMENTS: Paula Couto (1950:232) considered flavidens synonymous with spixii , but see Cabrera (1961:573) who believed both to be distinct species and discussed the type locality.
