Material examined (N=22). 1m, 2f, 19/IX/2000, 13°57’05”S / 38°59’68”W ( MZUESC #52); 2f, 12/VII/2003, St. 0 3 ( MZUESC #679).

Distribution. Western Atlantic – North Carolina, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Antilles, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyanas, Brazil (from Amapá to Rio Grande do Sul), Argentina, and Uruguay ( Melo 1996).

Ecological notes. Rock, coral, calcareous algae, sand, and shell bottoms. From shallow waters to great depths ( Melo 1996).
