Type host and locality. Prunus sp. ( Rosaceae ), USA, California.
Distribution. Found on many species of Prunus and widespread in the Palearctic and Nearctic regions, and also recorded from Australia (Danuta Knihinicki, personal communication 2012), Chile ( Peralta 1991), England (recorded here), Lebanon ( Bayan 1988) and New Zealand ( Manson 1984).
Relation to the host. Vagrant on the under surface of the leaves, causing leaf discolouration and rusting.
Collection details. England, North Yorkshire, York, near Warthill (53° 59ʹ 22.56ʺ N, 0° 59ʹ 9.96ʺ W), high numbers on the under surface of the leaves of Prunus spinosa L., collected by the author, 22.viii.2010.
