Key to larvae of Cape Verde Pselactus View in CoL
The larva of Pselactus spadix , described by Anderson (1952), is not inlcuded in this key because some data about body chaetotaxy are missing, and therefore it would not be possible to discriminate it from the two Cape Verde species.
1. Dorsum of epicranium with 4 relatively long setae (des1–3 and des5) and 1 short (des4) ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A). Frons with 5 relatively long to short setae (fs) ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A). One finger-like dms on mala located close to pfs2, and not in line with 5 remaining dms ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 B). Abdominal segment VIII with 1 short ss; and 2 very long eps ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D). Abdominal segment IX with 1 very long and 1 short ps ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D). Abdominal segment X with 1 long and 2 very short to minute ts ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D)................. Pselactus obesulus
