Distribution. China ( Taiwan), Japan.
Comments. Baetiella japonica (Imanishi) is the type species of the genus Baetiella erected by Uéno. Based on the Uéno’s reports, this species usually inhabits the fast flowing mountain stream and seems to be widely distributed in Japan ( Uéno 1931), it was also collected from the high mountain stream (alt. 2,200m) in central Taiwan ( Uéno 1969).
