Distribution. Central Africa, East Africa, South Africa (Beier 1954); Mozambique, Tanzania, DRC, Congo (collection Tervuren); Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Angola, Zambia, DRC, Natal, South Africa, Zululand, Transvaal (collection NHML).
Ecology and biology. Canopy dweller. Adults found from September to March on Mt Kilimanjaro.
Habitat. Submontane plantations on Mt Kilimanjaro. In lowland forest in the East Usambaras (Zigi Trail) at 450 m.
Altitudinal range at Mt Kilimanjaro: 1100–1500 m.

Remarks. Probably more wide-spread on Mt Kilimanjaro with larger elevational span.
