Distribution: —Southern Armenia, Vayk mountain range (Vayots Dzor province) ( Fig. 18).
Habitat: —Rocky and sandy slopes with sparse vegetation, above 1400 m.
Hosts: — Nepeta trautvetteri Boiss. & Buhse ( Lamiaceae ).
Phenology: —Flowering end of May–June, fruiting June–July.
Conservation status: —Critically Endangered (CR) – B 1 ab (iii) + 2 ab (iii); D. So far, known only from Armenia. Only one location is known. Population consists of 20 shoots (2016) and 10 (2017). Limiting factors are restricted EOO and AOO, and predicted climate change.
Notes: — Phelipanche hajastanica morphologically resembles P. pulchella , P. bungeana and P. caesia but differs in several characteristics (detailed and comparative table in Piwowarczyk et al. 2017d).
