Ex Iridoprocne bicolor (tree swallow) nest: 34F, 1N, GSMNP, no other data, W. K. Reeves, L3051.

Despite its vernacular name, this bloodfeeding mite parasitizes many species of wild birds (Garvin et al. 2004) and some mammals (Whitaker & Wilson 1974).
