Description of Bacillus oceanisediminis ATS View in CoL 3402
Cells are Gram-staining-positive, flagellated and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, flat and pale yellow-colored after 2 days of incubation on TSA at 37°C. Positive for nitrate reduction and urea fermentation, but negative for indole production, fermentation of D- glucose and L- arginine, hydrolysis of esculin and gelatin and β -galactosidase activity. Utilizes potassium gluconate and malate. Does not utilizes D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N -acetylglucosamine, D- maltose, caprate, adipate, trisodium citrate and phenylacetate. Strain ATS3402 (= NIBRBAC000498379) was isolated from eagle feces.
