Type species. Calepitrimerus cariniferus Keifer, 1938b: 310–311 , 322.
Diagnosis. Body fusiform; scapular setae (sc) and tubercles ahead of rear shield margin; opisthosoma with three ridges, middorsal ridge shorter than subdorsal ridges, ending in a broad furrow.
This genus consists of 62 species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Only 3 of these have been recorded from Southeast Asia.
