Type species. Trimeracarus heptapleuri Farkas, 1963: 509–510 .
Diagnosis. Body vermiform; scapular tubercles and setae present, scapular setae (sc) directed anteriorly; legs with usual segmentation and setae, empodium entire; opisthosoma with three ridges.
This genus is monotypic ( Amrine et al. 2003).
