Type species. Brachendus pumilae Keifer, 1964a: 1–2 .
Diagnosis. Body vermiform; scapular tubercles and setae present; empodium entire; legs with usual segmentation and setae; female genital coverflap shortened but not appressed to coxae.
This genus consists of 3 species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Only one species has been recorded from Southeast Asia.
