Type species. Circaces chakrabartii Keifer, 1978: 17–18 .
Diagnosis. Body fusiform; female genitalia appressed to coxae; scapular tubercles present, scapular setae projecting to rear; legs with usual segmentation and setae, empodium entire; opisthosoma divided with broad dorsal annuli and narrow ventral annuli.
This genus consists of 4 species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Only one species has been recorded from Southeast Asia.
