Type species. Acathrix trymatus Keifer, 1962b: 16 .
Diagnosis. Body vermiform; opisthosoma with setae c1; prodorsal shield with 2 anterior setae (ve) and glands, scapular setae (sc) and tubercles on rear prodorsal shield margin, minute; coxae I and coxae II each with 3 setae; legs with usual segmentation and setae.
Remarks. This genus consists of 2 described species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Only one species has been recorded from Southeast Asia.
