Type locality. “Arabia”.

Distribution: Omorgus (A.) procerus is widespread throughout the arid savanna and desert regions of North Africa, Arabian Peninsula, and semi-arid areas of central Asia. It has been recorded from the following countries: Arabia, Burkina Faso, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, central India, Iran, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Somaliland ( Somalia), Sudan, United Arab Emirates ( Haaf 1954; Scholtz 1980a,b; Kalawate & Patole 2018; Schoolmeesters 2023; Král et al. 2023).
