Type:—[fossil leaves] Corneşti/Aghireş villages, Transylvanian Basin, Cluj County, Romania (holotype, 801 [= 0280], Babeş- Bolyai University, Museum of Paleontology-Stratigraphy (MPS-BBU-CN), Cluj-Napoca, Romania).
Occurrence:—Lower Oligocene (Rupelian); Europe.
Eponymy:—In honour of R. Givulescu, Romanian palaeobotanist.
