Note:—The extant species Sterculia cinnamomifolia Tsai & Mao (1964: 200) View in CoL is a later homonym of the fossil-species Persea fluviatilis
Mai (1971: 317), based on the fossil leaves from the European Upper Eocene (Lutetian) sediments of Messel near Darmstadt
(Hessen, Germany); therefore, a new replacement name is introduced for extant species. Eponymy:—In honour of Pin-I Mao, discoverer of the species.
