Diagnosis: Females of P. celisi are recognized by the epigyne with a broad groove between the posterior lobes.

Etymology: The species name is a patronym in honour of ‘Père Celis’, who made important collections in DR Congo.

Description: Female (holotype, MRAC 136732). Total l 4.30.

Carapace chestnut brown, covered by tiny warts forming a network with polygonal meshes. Carapace l: 2.20; w: 1.85. Fovea deep, clearly delimited. Sternum warted, l: 1.05; w: 1.15. Abdomen greyish brown, without do scutum. Legs orange-brown, covered by fine warts.

Epigyne ( Figs 14A–C View Figure 14 , 38F View Figure 38 ): dark area with central depression near posterior margin; copulatory ducts originating from centre leading sideward towards large, widely separated spermathecae; without lobate ducts.

Male unknown.

Known geographical distribution: DR Congo: Kivu ( Fig. 29 View Figure 29 ).
