Material examined. ZIMBABWE: 1 ♂, Salisbury (= today Harare), 8 August 1958 (C. E. Taylor). Slidemounted [ BMNH] .
Comments. The specimen belongs to the P. zimmermanni -group and probably represents a new species. It ressembles P. electum in size (HW=0.49, AL=0.53, WL=1.33) and robust antenna but differs in the shorter terminal setae (T1=0.10, T2=0.08, T1/TS=1.67). The fore wing membrane is clear. The male terminalia are mounted with a twisted rear view, which makes comparison with other Pseudophacopteron difficult. The paramere is long and slender (MP=0.18, PL=0.17). The species is not formally described here.
