Report as epibiont on nematodes
Individuals of Desmoscolex minutus Claparèdeı 1863 were infected with Lorycophrya bosporica suctorians from Istanbul Strait’ s areaı Bosporus regionı the Black Sea ( Sergeeva and Dovgal 2016). Loricophrya bosporica was also found on Metachromadoroides remanei (Gerlachı 1951) from the Ria Formosa lagoonı Southern Portugal ( Ivanova et al. 2017).
Remarks
L. bosporica was found both in the anoxic zone of the Black Sea and in methane seeps; hence it might be characterised as extremophile.
