Vernacular Names: Sanborn's Bonneted Bat.

Synonyms: Eumops amazonicus Handley 1955 .

Distribution: Chiapas ( Mexico), NW Honduras, SW Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Guianas, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Includes amazonicus ; see Gardner et al. (1970) and Eger (1977). Also see Best et al. (2001 b).
