Distribution. Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Britain, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia and Israel ( Kameneva & Greve 2011; Freidberg & Morgulis 2011). Iran ( Mohamadzade Namin et al. 2012; Almeida 2013; Lutovinovas & Davenis 2020; Ebejer & Nicolosi 2022). Morocco (first record). The first record from North Africa.
Biology. Larvae saprophagous under the bark of poplars ( Kameneva & Korneyev 2006: 246).
