Type material. According to Konishi (1989), the type material includes one female holotype ( ITLJ, examined) and six females paratypes ( ITLJ, partly examined) .

Description. See Konishi (1989) for description. Redescriptions and data on intraspecific variation are provided by Konishi (1990) and Turrisi (2007).

Distribution. Japan (Bonin Islands) ( Konishi 1989, 1990; Turrisi 2007) ( Fig. 186 View FIGURE 186 ).

Biology. The probable host is Ceresium unicolor (Fabricius) ( Coleoptera , Cerambycidae ), obtained from dead wood of Leucaena leucocephala De Wit (Fabaceae) ( Konishi 1989, 1990); also obtained from wood of Ardisia sieboldii Mig. (Myrsinaceae) (host unknown) ( Konishi 1989).
