Comparative diagnosis. Wroughtonia petila Chou et Hsu is similar to W. spinator (Lepeletier) and differs not by the shape of the first tergite (1.5–1.6 times as long as wide apically and subparallel-sided in W. spinator ) as suggested by Chou et Hsu (1998), but by the length of the ovipositor sheath (about 1.2 times as long as fore wing in W. petila , 0.8–0.9 times in W. spinator ) and the slenderer hind femur.
