Type locality and specimens. Museum Godeffroy , Hamburg 1 Exemplar.—Fundort [locality]: Rockhampton .

Dimensions. Länge des Körpers [body length] 38, der Endbeine 12 Mm. [length of ultimate legs 12 mm].

Preservation. 1 jar: Label. Otostigmus tuberculatus (Kohlr) Originalexemplar, Rockhampton M.G. 15289.

Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 65, No. 9. Holotype.

Collection remarks. See Branchiotrema calcitrans Kohlrausch 1879 . The specimen came from the private Museum Godeffroy in Hamburg and was collected by Amalie Dietrich (1821–1891).

Current systematic position. Otostigmus (Otostigmus) tuberculatus ( Kohlrausch, 1879) ; transferred by Haase (1887: 76).
