Type locality and specimens. Fundnotizen [locality notes]: Station 80, Eradu; Station 99, Lion Mill; Station 129, Jarrahdale; Station 145, Donnybrook; Station 152, Gooseberry Hill.

Dimensions. Länge des Rumpfes [body length] 5 mm.

Type material. Syntypes 2. AUSTRALIA: Western Australia: ( ZMH-A0000701 ), Eradu (station 80) [ca. 28°41’S, 115°2’E]; GoogleMaps ( ZMH-A0000710 ), Jarrahdale (station 129) [ca. 32°20’S, 116°04’E] GoogleMaps .

Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 72, No. 1. Syntypes (Number not specified).

Taxonomic remarks. Attems (1911a) did not state the number of specimens in his description and we are aware of additional syntypes from Gooseberry Hill and Donnybrook at the ZMB (no. 5144, 5144a–b) .

Collection remarks. Both specimens were collected by Wilhelm Michaelsen during his expedition to Western Australia 1905.

Current systematic position. Dichelobius flavens Attems, 1911 .
