Type locality and specimens. Gymnas. Johann., Hamburg 25 Exemplare.— Fundort [locality]: Rangoon [Yangon] .

Dimensions. Länge des Körpers [body length] 44 [mm], der Endbeine 11,5 Mm. [length of ultimate legs 11.5 mm].

Type material. Syntypes 16 ( ZMH-A0000661 , ZMH-A0009248-9262 ). MYANMAR: Yangon (“ Rangoon ”) [ca. 16°50’N, 96°10’E].

Preservation. 1 jar: Label 1. Branchiostoma indicum Kohlr. = immarginatum Por. Rangoon (pencil); Label 2. Rhysida immarginata Por. Rangoon (pencil).

Specimen remarks. Weidner (1960: 64) noted that 16 of the 25 original syntypes have been preserved.

Remarks. The specimens were originally part of the Gymnasium Johanneum collection in Hamburg (later on ZMH.

Current systematic position. Junior synonym of Rhysida immarginata ( Porat, 1876) according to Kraepelin (1903: 143).
