Mesembrina resplendens Wahlberg, 1844: 66 View in CoL . Type-locality: Sweden, Lule Lappmark, several localities around Kvikkjokk (River Kama, Njunjes, “Valleberget”). Syntypes 4♀, NHRS (seen), 1 ex., NMW (Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1891: 438) and 1♀, ZMHU ( Pont & Werner, 2006: 89).

Mesembrina gracilior Zimin, 1951: 238 View in CoL . Type-localities: Russia, many localities in Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Khabarovskiy Kray, Respublika Sakha, Altay, Urals and Pechora district. Syntypes 23♀, ZIN ( Pont, 2004: 90–91) and 1♀, MZPW (seen).

Siberian records: At present we are unable to confirm the correct identification of the Siberian records of M. resplendens View in CoL , whether M. ciliimaculata View in CoL or true M. resplendens View in CoL , as it is only recently that the identity and nomenclature of Hennig’s “ resplendens View in CoL ssp.” has been resolved (see above under M. ciliimaculata View in CoL ). The records of M. resplendens View in CoL listed below will be reviewed by V.S.S. in a revision of Russian Mesembrina View in CoL currently being prepared.
