Capsus wagneri Remane, 1950: 66 View in CoL ; Southwood and leston, 1959: 300; Wagner and Weber, 1964: 238; Vinokurov, 1977: 106.
Diagnosis. Different from other congeners by entirely dark brown head, and reddish legs with dark brown rings and pale rings ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 9 – 10 ).
Redescription. Male: Body somewhat elongated oval, length 5.86–6.8. COLORATION: Body primarily dark brown. Head: entirely dark brown; compound eyes almost dark brown; antennae generally dark brown, base of third antennal segment pale brown; tylus dark brown; rostrum almost pale brown. Thorax: pronotum dark brown, margin of posterior reddish brown; collar dark brown; mesoscutum dark brown, scutellum dark brown; ostiole peritreme dark brown; hemelytra dark brown, outer margin of hemelytra slightly reddish brown; cuneus dark brown; embolium dark brown; membrane somewhat pale brown. Legs generally reddish brown, femora almost reddish brown, with one or two dark brown rings; tibiae generally brown, middle part of tibia pale brown; tarsus generally pale brown, third segment dark brown, claws pale brown. Abdomen: dark brown. SURFACE AND VESTITURE: glossy; covered with densely golden short pubescence; first antennal segment with densely short pubescence; femora with sparsely erect setae; tibiae with two rows of erect setae. STRUCTURE: Head: ocelli absent; vertex width longer than first antennal segment; first antennal segment relatively thick; second antennal segment clavate; third antennal segment relatively thinner than first and second antennal segment, proportions of first to fourth antennal segments 0.8:2:1:1.2. Rostrum reaching to midcoxae; proportion of first to fourth rostral segments 0.7:0.8:0.4:0.6. Thorax: pronotum trapezoid, callus somewhat swollen; scutellum equilateral. Lateral margin of hemelytra curved, cuneal fracture developed. Legs generally slender. Abdomen: rounded, almost reaching to apex of membrane. GENITALIA: gonopore relatively short and rounded with curved parameres ( Figs. 16–18 View FIGURES 16 – 20 ); left paramere with hypophysis and sensory lobe somewhat widened; right paramere with hypophysis prominent horizontally; Vesica with only one long spicule and two lateral sclerites, apex of spicule triangular ( Figs. 19–20 View FIGURES 16 – 20 ).
Measurements (IN MM): Male (n=4): Body length, tylus-apex of membrane: 5.86–6.8; head length, excluding collar: 0.48–0.64; head width, including compound eyes: 1.3–1.37; vertex width: 0.6–0.65; 1st antennal segment length: 0.59–0.63; 2nd antennal segment length: 2.12–2.38; 3rd antennal segment length: 1.06–1.39; 4th antennal segment length: 1.20–1.22; total antennal length: 5.09–5.78; 1st rostral segment length: 0.60–0.72; 2nd rostral segment length: 0.73–0.81; 3rd rostral segment length: 0.41–0.46; 4th rostral segment length: 0.58–0.62; total rostral length: 2.32–2.61; anterior pronotal margin width: 1.03–1.12; mesal pronotal length: 0.86–1.09; basal pronotal width: 1.97–2.12; outer embolial margin length: 2.87–3.10; outer cuneal margin length: 0.88–1.05; maximum width across hemelytra: 1.25–1.42; foreleg (femur: tibia: tarsus): 1.52–1.78:1.40–1.70:0.74–0.79; midleg (femur: tibia: tarsus): 1.78–1.80:1.90–2.10:0.78–0.87; hindleg (femur: tibia: tarsus): 2.30–2.50:3.02–3.20:0.86–0.90.
