Type Locality: Unknown. Restricted by Mearns (1896:444) to Santa Cruz Valley at the Mexican boundary, Santa Cruz Co., Arizona [ USA].
Vernacular Names: Harris's Antelope Squirrel.

Distribution: Arizona to SW New Mexico ( USA) and adjoining Sonora, Mexico.
