Ozodes infuscatus Bates, 1870b: 409 View in CoL .

Remarks. This species was described based on one holotype female from Brazil (Pará, Rio Tapajós). According to Santos-Silva et al. (2019) on the type locality of Compsibidion charile (Bates, 1870) : “Although the Tapajós River rises in the State of Mato Grosso, its larger area is in the State of Pará. As Henry Walter Bates was not in the area of Mato Grosso, and lived in Santarém (Pará) for about three years, a city in front the area where Tapajós River flows into the Amazons River, it is possible infer that the specimen was collected in the State of Pará.”

Currently, it is known from French Guiana, Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Maranhão, Bahia, and Minas Gerais), and Bolivia (Santa Cruz) ( Monné 2024a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023). Gounelle (1911) was in doubt about the identity of the specimens examined by him (? Ozodes infuscatus ) and listed the species from the Brazilian states of Pernambuco, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro. Monné (2024a) and Monné & Monné (2017) did not list Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, and Rio de Janeiro, and listed Minas Gerais in doubt. The presence of this species in the Brazilian States of Mato Grosso do Sul and São Paulo makes it very probable that it occurs in Minas Gerais.

Material examined. BRAZIL, Mato Grosso do Sul (new state record): Campo Grande , 1 specimen ( ZUFMS- COL-00730), X.1983, Albuquerque, L.B. leg. ( ZUFMS) . São Paulo (new state record): Cubatão, Parque Muncipal do Pereque , 1 female ( MZSP 61225 View Materials ) , 1.XII.2001, H. Ramos leg. ( MZSP) .
