Remarks. This species was described based on three females from Brazil (Mato Grosso: Rio Verde). However, we consider that Rio Verde is in the Brazilian State of Mato Grosso do Sul (see comment on “Rio Verde” in remarks of Oncideres malleri Fragoso, 1970 ). Therefore, we are excluding C. melanura from the fauna of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso until the species is formally collected there.
