Remarks: Immature stages were described both by Deeming (1971: 156, puparium) and Skidmore (1985: 300, puparium).
Distribution: (Afrotropical): Cameroon, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Host-plants: Desho grass, Pennisetum pedicellatum Trin., Napier grass, Cenchrus purpureus (as Pennisetum purpureum ) and Hyparrhenia cyanescens (Stapf) Stapf (all Poaceae ).
