Key to species of Pistosia

1 Pronotum distinctly transverse 1.1–1.3× as wide as long, without lateral impressions. Elytra 1.7–1.8× as long as wide, explanate margin broad and distinctly widened in the middle. Body yellow with preapical black spot reaching approximately midlength of the elytra, explanate margin apically yellow. ....................................................................... 2

– Pronotum 0.9× as wide as long, with deep lateral impression on each side. Elytra 2.4× as long as wide, parallel-sided and with narrow explanate margin. Body yellow, apical half of elytra black including explanate margin. North Sulawesi. 2 Elytral intervals II, IV and VI costate. Pronotum densely and coarsely punctate laterally and basally, punctation laterally reaching anterior corners thus leaving convex apical half of the disc impunctate. Central Sulawesi. Fig. 6 . ..................... P. maculata Weise, 1905

– Only elytral interval VI weakly costate. Pronotum coarsely but sparsely punctate only along base and with several punctures projecting anteriad laterally but not reaching anterior corners thus disc of pronotum appears mostly impunctate.
