Material examined. Nha Phu, Dam Bay, in natural and planted mangroves, about 20 specimens.

Abundance. Common.

Measurements. Up to 20 mm ( Okutani 2000).

Ecological notes. Development with free swimming veliger ( Fukumori & Kano 2014).

Found on mangrove tree trunks and stilt roots, on muddy rocks at coastal fringes of mangroves, on boulders in sheltered waters or estuary ( Okutani 2000; Tan & Clements 2008).

In studied sites it was found on sediment surface under mangrove trees and occasionally on pneumatophores of Rhizophora trees.

Relation to mangroves. Eurybiotic.

Distribution in Vietnam. Northern - east coast, central coast, southern delta ( Thach 2005).

General distribution. IWP: India to Samoa, and southern Japan to northern Australia ( Frey 2010).
