Notonyx kumi Naruse & Maenosono, 2009 View in CoL
( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 )
Material. 2 males, 4.5 × 3.4 mm, 6.0 × 4.7 mm, 1 female, 10.0 × 7.3 mm ( MZB Cru2784), 1 male, 7.8 × 5.6 mm ( ZRC 2010.0295), Seram Island, Maluku; 1 male, 7 × 5. 4 mm, RMNH D1174, Banda, Maluku, coll. J. Semmelink; 1 male, 6.0 × 4.6 mm, RMNH, station 47, 13– 31 m depth, Bay of Bima, north coast of Sumbawa, Lesser Sunda Islands. Comparative material - 1 paratype male, 9.3 × 6.8 mm ( ZRC 2008.0022), 0 m at low tide, Oh-jima Island, near Kume-jima Island, Ryukyu Islands, Japan, coll. T. Maenosono, 1 April 2008.
Remarks. The specimens from Seram and Banda agree well with the description of the species by Naruse & Maenosono (2009), who also recorded the specimen from Sumbawa. Differences are noted on the chelipeds, which are slightly slimmer than those of the holotype and on the tube-like distolateral portion of the G1 which is relatively wider. These differences are minor and can easily be attributed to individual variation.
Distribution. Kumejima Island ( Japan) and Sumbawa, Seram and Banda ( Indonesia).
