Material examined. Penaeid—2 F; size range: 21.26 ≤ CW ≤ 23.74 mm; average: CW = 22.5 ± 1.75 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00245.

Station. Penaeid—3.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (North Carolina, Florida, Bermuda, and Gulf of Mexico), Antilles, Guyana, French Guiana, the north of South America, and Brazil (from Pará to São Paulo) ( Melo 1996; Viana et al. 2003).

Ecological notes. From shallow waters to 110 m. Found usually on mud, and sand bottoms, also found on rocks, shells, gravels and corals ( Melo 1996).

Remarks. Santos et al. (2016) collected specimens were downstream of the São Francisco River, at the border of Alagoas and Sergipe.
