Material examined. Petro-UFS—163 (5 M, 22 F); size range: 3.89 ≤ CL ≤ 7.44 mm; average: CL = 5.67 ± 0.96 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00042. Penaeid—52 NS; size range: 3.38 ≤ CL ≤ 6.64 mm; average: CL = 4.64 ± 0.60 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00343.

Stations. Petro-UFS—7, 13, 14, and 16; Penaeid—1, 2, 4, 5, 8, and 9.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—Guyana, Puerto Rico, and Brazil (from Pará to Rio Grande do Sul) ( D’Incao 1998).

Ecological notes. Up to 40 m depth ( D’Incao & Martins 2000).

Remarks. Previously recorded as Acetes americanus ( Coelho & Ramos 1972; Vasques et al. 2003).

Previous records in Sergipe. None.
