Range:— Antilles; southern Mexico to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, PA, SC) and Brazil.

Ecology:— Fairly common; epiphytic in humid forests; 100–1800 m, to 2000 m elsewhere. Typically found on thick tree trunks ( Zotz 2007).
