Agynaikothrips Okajima, 2006: 157 View in CoL .
Apart from the type species, A. okinawaensis Okajima View in CoL , this genus includes only A. venapennis ( Moulton 1928a) View in CoL that remains known from a single female taken in Taiwan. According to Okajima (2006) the genus is similar to Gynaikothrips View in CoL but with the maxillary stylets retracted to the postocular setae and close together medially, the head long, the fore tarsi of both sexes bearing a tooth, the MSS absent, and the tube longer than the head.
