Rhynchothrips machili Moulton 1928a: 313–315 View in CoL .
Described from Taiwan on two specimens taken on Machilus View in CoL [ Lauraceae View in CoL ] by Takahashi, 18.v.1924, this species has not been examined during the present study. However, it was recorded and redescribed by Okajima (2006) from the Ryukyu, Izu and Ogasawara Islands of Japan, also taken from Machilus View in CoL .
