Philisca puconensis Ramírez, 2003: 191 , fig. 103a–c (male holotype from Chile, Región X (Los Lagos), Cautín province, Pucón , ca. 39º16’ S 71º58’9 W, 15.XI–2.XII.1980, Malaise trap in peninsula, S.A. Marshall, deposited in AMNH, not reexamined).

Diagnosis: The males resemble other Philisca species in having a bifid median apophysis, but are easily distinguished by having a bifid paramedian apophysis ( Ramírez 2003: fig. 103b, c). The females resemble P. tripunctata by the narrow epigynal median field ( Fig. 17b, c ), but are distinguished by having numerous spines on the tibiae I and II.

Description: Male and female are described in Ramírez (2003).

Distribution: Known only from a few localities in Chile: Cautín, Malleco, and Valdivia provinces. In Argentina: Neuquén and Río Negro provinces ( Fig. 38i ).

Werenkraut, 1 female (MACN-Ar 27471), 1 female (MACN-Ar 28112).

Material re-examined: ARGENTINA: Neuquén: Pucará , 15.XII.1965, A. Giai, 1 female and 1 immature ( MACN-Ar 14798 ) .
