Genus Simpliciforma Bitner & Zezina View in CoL gen. nov.
Type species. Simpliciforma profunda Bitner & Zezina gen. et sp. nov.
Diagnosis. Very small, smooth brachiopod with long, straight hinge line; beak short, beak ridges sharp; foramen subtriangular, formed by both valves; deltidial plates very narrow, disjunct; inner socket ridges low but thick; dental sockets rounded, relatively deep; cardinal process, septum and brachial skeleton all absent; lophophore trocholophous with long filaments.
Etymology. Referring to the simple morphological characters of the genus.
