Lectotype (Radcliffe-Smith in Nasir & Ali, Fl. Pakistan 172: 81. 1986): Herb. Clifford: 445, Jatropha 3 (BM-000647406) .

Current name: Jatropha curcas L. ( Euphorbiaceae ).

Note: Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 4: 311. 1920) indicated material in LINN as type, but did not distinguish between several sheets (none of which is original material for the name).
