The distribution of Chironomidae larvae in El Junco lake, San Cristóbal was discussed by Ferrington & Pehofer (1994, 1996). The Chironomidae from a variety of aquatic habitats in the Galápagos Is. was reviewed by Gerecke et al. (1995).
