Genus Mumetopia Melander View in CoL View at ENA
undetermined species
Distribution. Not determined. Galápagos: Floreana (ICCDRS), Isabela, San Cristóbal, Santa Cruz, Santiago (CAS).
Remarks. Adults of this species were common in the humid highlands. Two colour morphs have been separated which may represent separate species. The dark form (entire thorax, clypeus, palpi) is from Santa Cruz, while those from Isabela and San Cristóbal are lighter (lower 3/4 of pleura, clypeus, palpi) (K.N. Barber pers. comm.). Barber & Roháček (2010) reported that three cryptic species are possibly present, all similar to M. occipitalis Melander.
