Distribution. Native. Neotropical (Cocos Is.); Galápagos: Baltra, Caamaño, Española, Fernandina, Floreana, Isabela, Marchena, Santa Cruz, Santa Fé, Seymour.
Remarks. Specimens of this species are primarily collected in littoral and arid zones. Specimens were collected in aerial nets between islands ( Peck 1994a).
