Distribution

Transpalearctic species, distributed from Pyrenees and Great Britain as far east as Sakhalin and Japan. Introduced in North America ( Hůrka 1996). It can be found in mainland Italy; it is widespread in the northen part ( Vigna Taglianti 2005, Ruffo and Stoch 2005).

Notes

Brachypterous individuals dominate, but both macropterous and apterous specimens occurs. It is an hygrophilous, eurytopic species of both unshaded and shaded habitats; from lowlands to mountains ( Hůrka 1996).
