Type material. Holotype: male ( RMNH), Dry Gallery forest [6°55ʹ30.00ʺN, 5°11ʹ30.00ʺW], Toumodi, Côte d’Ivoire, 28 August, 1975, C.L. Deeleman-Reinhold leg. Paratypes: 1 male and 4 females, same data as holotype.
Etymology. The specific name is after the collector Christa L. Deeleman-Reinhold, to express our appreciation for her hard work on the collection; noun.
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to C. koupeensis Baert, 1985 , but can be distinguished by the rounded palpal bulb ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 A, 2A–B), the appearance of a falculate modifier ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 A, C, 2A–B, 3C) at the base of embolus retrolaterally in the male, and the distinct shape of spermatheca ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 B, 4B–C) in the female.
Description. Male (holotype): Total length 1.01. Prosoma 0.50 long, 0.40 wide. Opisthosoma 0.40 long, 0.36 wide. Prosoma, sternum, yellow. Legs, labium, endites and chelicerae yellow. Six eyes, anterior row of four eyes slightly recurved, AME close together, nearly touching, separated from ALE by 1/4 of ALE diameter, lateral eyes contiguous. Chelicerae ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 D) longer than endites, with two teeth and four tiny granulous denticles on the promargin, and five small triangular teeth on the retromargin. Leg measurements: I 3.70 (1.05, 0.15, 1.20, 0.80, 0.50); II 3.11 (0.88, 0.14, 1.02, 0.66, 0.41); III 2.40 (0.70, 0.14, 0.66, 0.50, 0.40); IV 3.05 (0.96, 0.15, 0.85, 0.66, 0.43). Leg formula: I-II-IV-III. Opisthosoma yellowish, pear-shaped, pedicle with a small, well developed lorum consisted of a dorsal X-shaped plate. Male palp ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 A, C, 2A–B, 3C): Bulb whitish, rounded, with a blunt, not scleritized embolus and one falculate modifier at the basal of embolus retrolaterally.
Female (one of the paratypes): Similar to male in coloration and general features, but with a larger body size and shorter legs. Total length 1.09. Prosoma 0.50 long, 0.39 wide. Opisthosoma 0.60 long, 0.50 wide. Leg measurements: I 3.05 (1.00, 0.15, 0.90, 0.55, 0.45); II 2.76 (0.92, 0.15, 0.72, 0.55, 0.42); III 2.10 (0.66, 0.14, 0.55, 0.40, 0.35); IV 2.59 (0.83, 0.15, 0.64, 0.58, 0.39). Leg formula: I-II-IV-III. Genital area swollen. Spermatheca ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 B, 4B–C) short, strong, and the distal portion curved ventrally.
Variation. Total length: males 1.01–1.05 (n=2), females (1.09–1.17) (n=4).
Distribution. Côte d’Ivoire (Toumodi) ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 ).
