*Meyrick (1925) listed Brachmia thraneuta Meyrick as a synonym of L. invariella Walker and as a New Guinean species, and Diakonoff (1954) listed invariella Walker in the key of Lecithocera of New Guinea, but it was erroneously cited. The species was described from India and Sri Lanka.
